VOGUE FASHION COPIES

I often flick through Vogue and look at the makeup and think ooh I could do that! And as I do recreate a few looks from time to time I thought I'd collect them up and show you! (So please let me know what you think, I'd love to have your feedback!).

First up: A Dior Advert
Original
My recreation-
Not my favourite one of all that I've done but still noteworthy :)

Products Used: Maxfactor Eye Brightening Mascara (for Brown Eyes)
Sleek Original Palette
Tarte Exposed Blush (very lightly)
Wet N Wild Fergie Lipstick in Ferguson Crest Cabernet (with a touch of clear gloss over the top)

Second: Louis Vuitton Advert
Original
 My recreation-
This was a bit easier but I didn't realise how much Contour/Blush I'd need for it to come up on camera well :/

Products I used :)
I used: Elf Eyebrow kit in Medium
Elf Shimmer Palette (just the white & peach ones)
Collection Extreme 24hr Liquid Liner (very good actually!)
Tarte Exposed blush
MAC Sunny Seoul Lipstick (as my first very lightly under my others)
Clinique FE Rubelite Lipstick
Nars Edie Eyeshadow
Dainty Doll Lipstick in Baby Love
Maybelline Superstay 24hr Bold Matte lip colour in Hot Brown
A random black shadow from an elf palette.

Next up: Samsung Galaxy S4 Promo (Punk-Glam theme)
Original
Original

My recreation-
I tried so hard to get rid of my brows but only had Nyx jumbo stick in Milk & a White eyeshadow. Kinda worked :/
I absolutely adore the eyeshadow shape of this, I think my flicks were too flicky though needed to be a bit more straight lines, but I still love it. I also loved doing the slightly graduated lip colour.

Products used: Sleek Oh So Special Palette
Sleek blush in Suede (to contour)
Illamasqua eyeshadow in Control
Nars Liquid Liner Pen
Maxfactor Lip Pencil in Passionate Red
Elf Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Turkish Coffee (to make the graduation)
Sleek Eau La Liner in White Noise
Mary Kay Time wise foundation in Ivory & Powder too
Calvin Klein Lipstick in Ruby Red
Elf Cover Everything Concealer
Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara
Fashionista Shadow in Black Out

Lastly, Fendi Advert
Original
My recreation-
This was by far THE MOST difficult one to do! But probably my favourite result :3

Products Used: MUA Undress me too Palette (neutral shadow for base)
Sleek Snapshots Palette (shade sandwalker, washed ashore & sunset)
MAC Ring of Saturn Mineralize Blush
Elf Cover Everything Concealer in light
Mary Kay time wise foundation in Ivory
Nars Liquid Liner Pen
Lancome Hypnose Mascara
MUA Cover and Conceal concealer
Estee Lauder Lipstick in Tiger Eye
Prestige Lipstick in Berry Fantasy
Rimmel Brow Pencil
Nars Laguna Bronzer
(the MAC looking powder is actually a Stila powder refill in the mac pan-I had a spare one lying round so, y'know :P)

And that's it for VOGUE but I have another edition for Hunger & Wonderland coming to you at the end of the month! Thanks so much for looking at my work, please give me feedback via twitter (@JanBeautyful) or Facebook (just search Januarybeautyful and Like my page :)) or leave a comment below!

Electro Bleu-Look of the Day :D 18.7.13

Electro Bleu, Essentially I just wanted something to match my ring & shorts XD
My Full Face :)

My Eyes XD

Products Used :)

I absolutely adore the Bourjois Metallic Pencil (I don't think they sell these anymore :( ) but it's so long wearing and comparable to a UD Glide on 24/7 Pencil! In the Sleek Palette I used the shade Summer Breeze all over my lid :)

So that was my look of the day, Electro bleu! Please "+1" or "like" my facebook link if you like these kinds of posts and I'll start doing more :) Thanks guys! xxx

52 WODN ORANGE FIESTA! & Mermaid inspired makeup! 15.7.13

So after my week in Barcelona (post coming really soon!) I was so inspired by the beach and sunshine to make my nails as Bright as possible! I also wanted to use an Illamasqua polish so ended up using Gamma :), for the glitter/polka dot nails that is Barry M's Sequin Nail Effect in White on top of a layer of Gamma. The effect is quite cool actually :D
My Left Hand :)
My Right Hand :)
Also, as I am headed to Naomi's house to go swimming I decided I wanted my makeup to look a tad bit mermaidey-inspired today! What do you think? :D Sea Green & Pearly Pink were my main colours used :)
My Full Face :)

My Eyes, doesn't the green Zoomlash mascara look amazing??
All Products used :)

Keep an eye out for my Sneak peak photos everyday till my VOGUE fashion copies post is released! On my facebook page, please go and like if you haven't already! xxx

Pirate Party Full Outfit & Makeup :D

Let me firstly apologise that this is so late! (Barcelona-Full Post on what we did etc to come :))

We had so so much fun! Nicki had put so much effort into games etc for us to play and traditional Mexican food! So impressed! The music was good and the booze was flowing (always good!) and we just LOVED dressing up!

Full outfit

So as you can see, I went with my Black Bandanna and Red Snakeskin Boots. I went with the red boots as with the red lipstick they broke up the black and white well.
I was going to curl my hair but ended up with very little time so crimped quickly!
I must say that I really love the blouse! It's so soft and sheer :') So pleased I bought it XD will now be wearing it just generally I think.
I am not sure I'll wear the leggings again, but never say never!
I think I'll start wearing bandannas more often though as I really liked it!

Products I ended up using :)
I used soooo much bronzer!!! I also just whacked on Revlon's Colorstay in Earthly Tan (WAYYYYY too dark for me) it's a gorgeous bronzed brown and I think that added with Nars' Laguna & Benefit's Hoola, I was well away! I used Sleek's Brow Kit in Medium & a brow and lash gel from M&S, Mac's Riri Woo with my lips lined with Benefit's Waterproof BadGal liner ;) Which Ed said he really liked a two-toned lip like that! So, I am going to do that more now XD

For my eyes I used Sleek's Lagoon Palette (as it has a LOT of Pirate named shadows and I wanted to stay as true to the theme as possible :P) I used the shades Black Pearl, Ariel & Oyster :) I tried to keep my brows as ungroomed as I could take haha! *One thing I would say is that Pearl looks quite pale and white, bit shimmerey, above is it blended out REALLY WELL! It's almost a pure silver metallic!*

Ed & I on his Dad's Motorbike :P

This is Ed without his outfit on but he still looks cool, I think :P
Below is a picture of a few of my friends, you can see some made more of an effort than others! :P xxx

A few of us all enjoying the drink! :P

Makeup Holder-ey Thing-Great for travelling to & fro' Shoots! Mini Post :) x

I love the shop "The Works" almost as much as I love ice cream (which is a lot. No joke.) and I can almost always find over £10s worth of stuff I wanna buy in there! So I always limit myself to a tenner so I don't go crazy. Last time I was in there, probably 3 weeks ago now, I bought a few plain eye masks to decorate...well, you never know when you'll get invited to a masked ball (MAJOR HINT TO ALL MY FRIENDS THERE :P). I also picked up some books for my band mates' Birthdays and then found this:
Make & Create Bag

It's meant for crafts/crafting stuff and that's the bit I found it in, of course the reason I spotted it was because a pink one caught my eye ;) But, I thought that black was more professional looking :P

It was £3.99 And I LOVE IT! You can just fit EVERYTHING in it!

Reverse View

Top View, again

Everything inside the bag, you can create more than a few thousand looks with all this!

Above is everything I had in the bag but I must add that not all the outside pockets were filled and there was still tonnes of room left! I am so impressed with this nifty lil' thing!
Everything from outside pockets inside main bag

If you're a make up artist/someone who needs a bag to pop a lot of stuff in/any single human being I recommend you go get this as it's just so useful! XD

Tweet me if you're gonna go and get this! @JanBeautyful -I'd love to hear what you think of it/if you got it-did you succumb to the pink? :P xxx

Boxes, Boxes, Boxes...OMG!? WHY! XD mini post on Storage :3

So, I Love Benefit, MAC, Illamasqua and other high end brands, but I also love Sleek, Fashionista, MUA & other drugstore brands. What do all of these brands have in common?? They ALL have adorable packaging/boxes they come in! And! I can't/don't have the heart to get rid of these gorgeous boxes!!!

All of my Benefit ones (except duplicates) are on my shelf in my office as the shelf was bare and they're too pretty to store away! Here's what it looks like (you have to use your imagination to piece all the bits together :P)...
Right Third
Middle Third
Left Third
Then I have a big shelving unit my Dad made me that I store loads of boxes on (the very very top also has books and stuff on it but going down all the way to the bottom has extremely large boxes stacked up from the floor). Here's a couple of the top shelves:

As you can see, I have a strange filing system of books, shoe boxes, mini boxes, photograph albums, Decorated random sized boxes (all decorated by moi, of course!), a leopard print mini drawer system, a soap and glory tin and an office drawer set. I like this system, although in the picture it looks really messy and disorganised, in real life it's perfect and really does not look so messy :/ haha!

Anyhoo, some of these boxes in my shelving system, are only filled with other mini product boxes. Like, I said, I just don't have the heart to throw away such gorgeous packaging!!
My Secret Boxes filled with product packaging...shhh!

A Cute Benefit Box I was given for my Birthday is filled with Benefit Only Packaging! :P

A Mini Box I got in a set from Wilkinsons (for like £3) is filled with mostly MAC boxes
A bit more inside the box...

My Massive Lancome Box (received as part of perfume set for Birthday) is filled with all sorts and the Perfume boxes
inside it are filled with stuff again!

This DKNY pink perfume box, closest, houses all of my MAC blush/beauty powder boxes!
Of course, you must be wondering why I am going a bit hush hush and shh! This is because, Ed doesn't know I keep any other boxes than the ones on my shelf (again, some of those larger ones on the shelf are also filled with smaller boxes too!) And I think if he saw he'd work out how much I have and probably never speak to me again! :P (Makeup is really NOT Ed's forte you see >.<)

Now, some of you must be thinking-WHY ON EARTH DOES SHE KEEP ALL THAT! Here's Why:
1) You never know when a label might rub off or disappear from a product and/or you may forget the name and that's when this comes in handy, you can just look it up again! So it's kind of like a record keeping system...kinda...
2) If I no longer like the product/use it/just want to sell it on, you get much more money for it (and it helps with proving authenticity) when you sell it on sites like eBay (though with eBay regulations/conditions you can only sell unused cosmetics) and Gumtree etc.
3) It's just SOOOO PRETTTY!!!
4) If I move house and get a display cabinet, what else am I going to put in there? (aside from Horsey rosettes-which, I can't lie-they're aren't many... >.<) Don't get me wrong though-if they're all screwed up n' chewed up, looking worse for wear, I'll bin 'em.

So there we go! A little secret into my life :P Do you keep all your old cosmetic boxes? Tweet me to let me know! @JanBeautyful I'd love to know I am not the only one!!

June Faves, featuring Sleek, Bourjois & More!

Most are newbies which is exciting! :D

First up: Bourjois Bronzing Primer. I bought this on a whim in Boots with my points as it looked so pretty and I didn't fancy the BB Cream thing they also had. So, at only £4.99 I decided to pick it up. WOW I AM SO PLEASED I DID. I LOVE this. It's so fantastic at contouring, making your face all bronzey and is so easy to blend out to a very natural tan. If you accidentally take too much it can be easily blended back down to a really natural looking bronze. It's so gorgeous, I am so madly in love with it. It says it has an addictive scent (of coconuts) but I wouldn't agree with that-It's pleasant but not addictive (like a MAC lippie for example :P). You can easily use it with your fingers or Real Techniques' Countour Brush (S'up to you :)). This product is making me seriously consider buying all the other stuff in the range too :')

Bourjois Bronzing Primer <3
Next: Bourjois Max Volume Glamour Blue Mini Mascara. They released a few colours (blue, green, blue & purple) and Boots only had one blue one left when I got there! and I so wish they had all of the others as the blue is so gorgeously pigmented. PLUS It's a truly fantastic mascara-fanning out my lashes, giving them a great length :') Wow I love it ever so :D I just wish it was more sunny so I didn't look as strange but they do brighten up my eyes (even with black liquid liner) :).

Sleek Pout Paint: Lolipop-from the Candy Collection. I have never actually tried a sleek pout paint, so when they had this and the blush by 3 from the collection (but no palettes in stock D:!!!) I thought well, no palette, might as well get the lip paint. Firstly. This is the most fantastic pigment I have ever had out of a lip product. It was beautifully opaque and lasts ageeesss! It doesn't dry out the lips and does have an almost gloss finish to it (but this maybe because it is so thick).

Sleek's Lolipop Pout Paint on my lips & all 3 of the blush by
3 Candy Colours on my cheeks :') also wearing Sleek's Primer Palette
colours in Pink Frost on my eyes with a thick gel liner from collection
Sleek Primer Palette: Really nice soft, shimmerey colours that can be built into quite a colour block. They do crease without use of a good base/shadow on top so I quite like to use a neutral color tatoo or paint pot just lightly blended out over my lid as a base. The consistency is nice though & they are very true to the colour they are in the pot (the swatches didn't come out very strongly as I didn't really pick up much product-but this shows they can be blended out nicely).
Primer Palette Swatches

Primer Palette
Eyelash Curler (Tweezerman for Benefit): I don't know why I EVER STOPPED curling my eyelashes!? WHY? Why did I stop?? I picked up my curlers the other day to help create one of my Vogue Advert looks (post coming soon) and I suddenly remembered how fantastic the results were! Just one small little crimp of these on my lashes and I have beautifully long, featherey, sexy lashes that I would normally take 3 coats of they're real! (Benefit's latest & best ever mascara). This made me try it with my new fave Bourjois Blue Macara and I was so shocked how huge they were! Very, very impressed :')

ELF Shimmering Facial Whip in the shade Spotlight: I bragged and bragged about how much I loved this in my Elf Haul Post (http://tinyurl.com/kgej4wn). I really don't know what else to say....? I am going to buy all the other shades!? I think that's a good testament.

MUA Matte Perfect Primer: I said that this was a new Benefit Porefessional dupe. I meant it. I LOVE this ever so :') I use it almost everyday now. See my MUA Haul post here: http://tinyurl.com/prlb7t8

Did you have any similar June Favourites? Anything here that makes you think I might actually go out and buy that now? Let me know! xxx
