52 WODN 4.11.13 Space Inspired...Out of this world :')

When you touch me I die, just a little inside, I wonder if this could be love, this could be love, cos' you're out this world, galaxy, space & time, I wonder if this could be love, this could love!! I am so in LOVE with Gaga's new song VENUS! I just think its so catchy and amazing, kinda reminiscent of Judas and I just cannot stop listening to it XD. Anyhoo, That is why this nail look is OUT of this world!

Polishes used-Barry M's Pink Sapphire Glitter & Sally Hansen's Purple Pulse

I am kinda into everything space-y at the moment, I've always loved the Star Trek movies :3 I am reading Hitch hiker's Guide to the galaxy (currently on the second part where they land on earth billions and billions of years ago) and I've been reading a lot into big bang & moon landing conspiracy theories :P haha, this is all in my spare time of course :P x

52WODN 16.9.13 September's Colder than I remembered...? :/

Firstly let me apologise for the lack of posts in the last 2 weeks, if you follow my Facebook page or Twitter you would've seen that my PC contracted a virus and therefore was in danger of deleting all my files and unfortunately I cannot compose posts on my tablet as the Blogger app (sorry for saying this blogger) is not very good at all and I cannot add pictures in correctly.

Anyways, here I am BACK! Starting a-fresh with a normal 52WODN post, Tomorrow my Benefit event post will FINALLY be up (there will be a usual LOTD post mixed into it :)) and then my Jasmine Princess look and a couple of others that are overdue will be following up on their usual days (just 2 weeks late :/)

So today's 52WODN is inspired by the sudden turn of cold that September has brought to us this year, I am kind of dreading the actual winter as at work yesterday I was freezing!! Anyhoo, So with the cold I wanted a dark colour but still with a bit of pizazz! (is that a word...?) So I decided to go with my Sally Hansen Nail Polish in 670 "Midnight in NY" and over the top of that my 2true Glitterati nail polish in shade 1.

My Left Hand-trying to show you all the sparkles XD
MY Right Hand :D

I think here the Blue glitter kinda represents the Ice-ey cold and the black the evenings drawing in quicker... :') This week Right Thumb has to win ;)

So once again thank you so much for your patience with me while my computer was down I really appreciate it and will make it worth your while with fabulous posts coming up!

Love you all!

52WODN 19.8.13 Kiwis! Part of my 3 week Fruit Fest XD x

Photo: How cute is the fruity nail trend that's going around? Have a look at some of our faves below.
Photo off of GoodThing's Facebook Page :)
After seeing the super cute pictures off of GoodThing's Facebook page: I have now decided to try them out for myself in a 3 week Fruit Fest!

So here is this week's creation: Kiwis. This one looked like the easiest to do. In fairness, it was simple to think through...but, not so easy to actually create :P Funnily enough, though, my first attempt (my left thumb) turned out to be my very best one! The trick to them looking good, I found, is that you make the white bit as big as you can and the black dots as SMALL as possible too, it's all about the detailing XD

So to get this look I used Sally Hansen's Mousseline as the base creamy/white colour all over the nail. I then used the end of a pencil (y'know the rubber that's usually more smudgey and messy than rubbing out-ey?) dipped in Illasmaqua's Radium. I then made the lil' dots with a black nail art pen :)

My Dodgy Left hand XD
My PERFECT Left Thumb!!!
My Not so bad Right Hand >.<
My ALREADY chipped right thumb :P

I was pretty shocked by how quickly my right hand chipped, but I am not sure if that's perhaps because I started doing stuff too quickly after painting them :/ However, from a distance these nails look SOO much like Kiwis! People have been guessing them correctly so they must do :P and up close...you can still sorta tell >.< haha!

Well keep your eyes PEELED for next week's addition in the 3weeksFruitFest...is that a clue? You decide! :P xxx

Kelly's Wedding Reception, Outfit, Experience & What a gorgeous day! :') +52W.O.D.N. Add on! x x x

Well what a Beautiful Day they had to get married! I am so pleased the weather held out for them as the sun was hot and shining all day :') Kelly looked absolutely stunning in her dress and Joe looked very smart and handsome. It was lovely too as the atmosphere was relaxed, chilled out and just enjoy yourself :) This kinda vibe is exactly what you want for a summer wedding, I think ;)

So, anyway, moving onto my outfit!

My Full Outfit & Invitation :')

I ended up wearing my Black shoes with my Glass Heart Necklace and took a black medium clutch that has all this gorgeous stud detailing on it (from New Look). I also wore this ring that I bought a few days before from a market stall (up close photo down below).
My Nails were painted in Sally Hansen's Dorien Grey with an over paint of Sally Hansen's Paparazzi to add a touch of shimmer :') (Shown Directly Below).

I always wear bareminerals during the day (very lightly, just to even out my complexion) So, when it comes to evening going-out makeup I just whack on Benefit's HFOW Liquid Foundation I am the shade (pure for sure) Ivory. I then decided it would be a good idea to try out my MUA Pro-Base eyeshadow primer. I simply wore the MUA Shade Naked from the Undress me too Palette, then contoured the eye with some of Illamasqua's Feline alone in the crease. I then lined the eye (thickly) with maybelline's Tattoo in Eternal Silver. After this I simply smudged on a bit of the MUA shade Reveal (also from Undress me too Palette) and then lined my upper lash line with Benefit's Magic Ink. Erase Paste (02) was my concealer of choice for the evening, along with my Sleek brow kit (used the wax only) and L'Oreal's Volume Million Lashes Mascara. I then lined and smudged some Benefit BadGal Waterproof in Black along my lower lash line and waterline. Finished off with YSL Touche Eclat Pen Concealer & Elf's Shimmering Facial Whip in Spotlight. *Please note, I always powder some setting/finishing powder over my makeup and this is always Green People's Powder compact* To finish, I swirled a bit of Fashionista's New York Blusher over my cheeks and I was away! (really sorry I didn't get any close ups of my eyes etc, I really didn't have the time!) ooh! And I keep on forgetting (I left it out of the photo too :L) I used Rimmel's Apocolips Lip Lacquer in Celestial :')

A Close up of my Face

I used the Pale Pink Blusher closest in the photo (bottom left)
It's the Fashionista Shade New York

I really love Fashionista's Eyeshadows and Blushers, especially this palette I made of their custom merged (baked?) Blushers, they're so pretty and shimmery :')

I used the very first shade (top left-Naked) and the 3rd shade
in (middle bottom-Reveal)

I am very impressed with this MUA Palette & The Pro Base Primer works well with it.

And, finally, my Ring I bought!
My Gorgeous Ring I bought from a stall in Eastleigh Shopping Centre!
Worth a bargain hunt, sometimes, gals!

52 Weeks of Delicious Nails, 27.5.13 Purple & Butterflies :) x

I am so bummed out that the Sun just hasn't made much of an appearance as of recent :S It's supposed to be really nice weather in Britain now, I mean COME ON! I guess it's still early days though, I mean July & August are proper Summer, yeah? ....hmmm.... D:

Well, this week is half term and I wanted some nails that aren't really summery in case the sun doesn't appear and that also go with my dress for Riri's this coming Friday. And with that criteria this is what I came up with!

My Left Hand

Now, my Right hand I could not get a good picture of, so I decided it was better left out. To describe it to you though, it looks exactly the same only the butterfly on the thumb is white with grey :)
The Purple shade is my latest addition from Sally Hansen's complete Salon manicure range: 470 Purple Pulse & the Butterfly is from a wheel full of them from poundland, I mentioned it before in one of my January posts: http://tinyurl.com/p47vuwv :) Exciting stuff XD

Look out for my post on my Outfit & Makeup designs for Riri's Birthday should be coming around weds/thurs this week :D x

52 Weeks of Delicious Nails, 14.1.13

First full week back at college and me and Beth were trying to fill our massive Friday afternoon free! And I wanted to try out using these cute lil' butterfly nail decals I got from poundland. I don't know what Nail Varnishes Beth's wearing, but I am wearing Sally Hansen's Dorien Grey. Aren't these Nail Decals cute!? And for a huge little wheel from poundland! Amazing :')
