52WODN A Double Bubble Post ;)

Going on from my apology for being such a bad blogger I have decided to do a double 52WODN! Just to prove that I DO change my nails EVERY WEEK! :P

I was actually quite disappointed with the Revlon Mon Cherry (plain red above) as it chipped within minutes of me wearing it? Bad! But I think it may be faulty as I've never had a problem with Revlon polishes before :S I also don't think that the photo does justice to the Barry M Ruby Glitter polish as it's just BEAUTIFUL in real life XD

I hope you like these two, they are from the last two previous weeks as this week I am going...wait for it...BARE!? Only till Saturday as I want to try out a new cuticle cream/oil thing AND I want to make my nails SUPER special for Saturday Night's HRTC Xmas Party! :) Love you all, see you in the next post which may be not very beauty related :P x x x

52WODN 7.10.13. I am sorry I missed a week, BUT..!

The cute candy inspired nails I had from 2 weeks ago, just lasted and lasted and I kept getting A LOT of compliments on them so didn't want them to go! Haha! But I have got a 52 weeks of delicious nails post for you in today, so, here it is!

I am a little bit like everyone else in that I totally jumped on the whole "moustache everything" band waggon, but I have never attempted to make moustache inspired nails before so this was a new challenge like no other :P To get this look I used Revlon's Timeless and a Black nail art pen I own :)

Oui, Oui, Oui

I think they look so, so cute! Look! Little-Frainch Men :P However. There is a reason there is only one hand of little french moustache-d men. Because, after doing these nails I went and did horsey things and that lead to my nails getting destroyed. I will show you the little man that came out the best...

Poor little guy...

 So this week, Left hand TOTALLY wins. Hands down, though it's a little unfair as the right hand was pretty much ruined by nothing of it's own fault. Thanks for reading guys! Speak soon :3 x x x

52WODN 23.9.13 Thorpe Park inspired Candy Canes!

So I went to Thorpe Park earlier today! I actually didn't have that great-a-day as I was quite sicky :( boo! BUT the sweet smell of candied sugar wouldn't leave me all day so I had to come home and make my nails some way inspired by that >.<

I had already chosen these two colours to work with last night, I just wasn't sure how I was going to use them then so left it to today-and I am glad I did! The colours I used were NYC's Lavender Cupcake as the base and my Primark Nail Paint Art Pen in this deep purpley colour :)

52WODN Last Installment of 3WeekFruitFest.....PINEAPPLES XD

XD <this kinda looks like a pineapple, no? haha, well it's the last week in my 3week Fruit fest!
And I cannot lie I have really enjoyed making it! Next time I pick a theme to run with I may do 4 or 5 weeks as once I had finished this last one I came up with so many other ideas! :P

Ahh well, to get this Pineapple inspired look all you need is a Steady Hand and Barry M's Textured Nail Paint in Station Rd, Model's Own Lemon Meringue Nail Polish, Claire's Accessories Glitter layer in Orange and a Orange Nail Art Pen :)

This is the second week in my 3week Fruit Fest! My Kiwi's actually lasted over 10days without chipping-so that's really good, and you can see them here: http://tinyurl.com/mn3ep3e  But back onto this week! I kinda hinted at Bananas and when googling it, very few designs came up-however! I really, really liked this kinda pop-art-ey Andy Warhol Banana design...







 I used Barry M's 295 "Pure Turquoise" as the Blue Base coat, Barry M's Textured Nail Paint 304 "Station Road" as the Yellow Banana colour (the fact it's textured I think made it slightly better...more banana-erey. :P) I then used a black nail art pen (from Paperchase) to draw the outlines of the 'Nanas XD

I actually think ALL of my nails look really great!! Maybe this week Left Fingers get the gold rather than left thumb :P but right thumb is NOT that bad for once! :P I think you should all go and try this as it seemed to work really well! haha

52WODN 19.8.13 Kiwis! Part of my 3 week Fruit Fest XD x

After seeing the super cute pictures off of GoodThing's Facebook page: I have now decided to try them out for myself in a 3 week Fruit Fest!


So here is this week's creation: Kiwis. This one looked like the easiest to do. In fairness, it was simple to think through...but, not so easy to actually create :P Funnily enough, though, my first attempt (my left thumb) turned out to be my very best one! The trick to them looking good, I found, is that you make the white bit as big as you can and the black dots as SMALL as possible too, it's all about the detailing XD


So to get this look I used Sally Hansen's Mousseline as the base creamy/white colour all over the nail. I then used the end of a pencil (y'know the rubber that's usually more smudgey and messy than rubbing out-ey?) dipped in Illasmaqua's Radium. I then made the lil' dots with a black nail art pen :)

I was pretty shocked by how quickly my right hand chipped, but I am not sure if that's perhaps because I started doing stuff too quickly after painting them :/ However, from a distance these nails look SOO much like Kiwis! People have been guessing them correctly so they must do :P and up close...you can still sorta tell >.< haha!

Well keep your eyes PEELED for next week's addition in the 3weeksFruitFest...is that a clue? You decide! :P xxx

52WODN Britain's Next Top Model Logo Inspired!

So today I really, really wanted to try out some proper Nail Art type stuff. Lines! Lines seemed like a great idea at the time! (Oh how wrong could I be!) Lines are soooo difficult to do!
Nonetheless, determined. I struggled on!
To be perfectly honest, though, I am quite pleased by how they turned out :D

I used Barry M's Nail Paint (NP66) as the White Base colour and my Primark Nail Art Pens in the purpley colour and black :) I also used a couple of gems but they have smudged a bit :/

My right thumb is ATROCIOUS! but oh well haha, I feel like every week when I do my nails, they're getting better and better, each week I feel a bit more adventurous than the last :D

52 Weeks of Delicious Nails 10.6.13 First Attempt at the whole Water thingy...

I was YouTube surfing, as I very often do to avoid revision, and I found myself looking at Nail Polish collections and then clicked onto a video about "Water Marble Manicure"... y'know what these are, when you get a cup of water, tape around your fingers, drop your nail polish in the water and swirl your nail in and you end up with a totes gorge marbled nail. Well, this is actually a bit difficult than it looks-to get something that looks nice anyway :P

To be fair, I only had to re-do two nails, so I wasn't too bad at it >.<

I used Barry M's Nail Paint number 66 -a complete white shade, for the base colour & then dropped in Model's Own Beach Party (a Bright Orange) into the water first, then Model's Own Luis Lemon (neon yellow) and then Illamasqua's Collide (Bright, Neon Pink). I did interchange the order of the colours, but essentially, it turned out the same, with yellow giving the most coverage =D.

52 Weeks of Delicious Nails 20.5.13 -Wraps!

For my Birthday my friend Naomi E bought me these totes gorge Floral Nail Wraps from Paperchase (they don't sell these ones anymore but here are the same make: http://www.paperchase.co.uk/invt/00503248/) They're really easy to use! Which made me very happy as I am not very steady handed, I could've done with some smaller scissors to help me (as you'll see below :S) But they applied very easily and I think look really great! PLUS! There's no drying time!!

Now I've broken my fear of nail wraps I am certainly gonna go nail wrap crazy I think! haha, They're just perfect :') I hope they last well.....we shall see D:

52 Weeks of Delicious Nails 6.5.13 + Toes insert :D

All this gorgeous sunshine is making it so very difficult to revise! haha & after Kelly's Neon Hen Do I wanted something summery :) And after shopping this morning (bought a very pretty skirt from Primark :D),
I came up with Strawberry & Kiwi themed (after seeing it on the side of a juice carton ;) ).

To create this design I used L'Oreal's Color Riche Nail Polish in 208 "So Chic Pink" & 2true's Colour Quick Nail Polish in "shade 4", I then also just used a couple of small diamante's to the two fingers nearest (and including) the thumb.

 I then decided to paint over my chipped Model's Own Purple Toes (without getting rid of what was already there, though, as I am incredibly lazy) with the L'Oreal Polish, leading too a very deep Strawberry Coloured Nail :P

52 weeks of delicious nails, WAIT!?......WHA?? 1.5.13

(Sang elegantly) Sun, Sun, Sun, Here it comes! :')
With the glorious sunshine sweeping over the south (and a much, much better self :P) I decided it was time to un-cage the feet! Let them BREATHE and be paste-y white no more! And...who could wear cute diamante-ed sandals (from Primani ;) ) Without painting the toes? :O
I used Model's Own Nail Polish (which is apparently a "Matt Effect"-I had no top coat on :S) in the colour "Pukka Purple" #158.
I love using these nail polishes as they are so pigmented and instantly cover the nail with a good solid colour & finish that lasts well.

 First week back to College after Easter Break, I wanted something soft & pretty yet well groomed and smart. I decided that muted pink and silvery glittery pink would be the way forward! XD I used Illamasqua's Jan as the Muted Pink shade (THIS STUFF STAYED ON FOR NEARLY 2 WEEKS BTW!) and the Glittery ones are Barry M's Pink Silver Glitter Nail Paint (number 337).

 Below is My Gran's Nails (just cos' they're pretty!) The colour is gorgeous on her skin and is actually from one of those cheapy sets you get when you buy a makeup case. Probably something like Colour Club(?) It's unnamed and unbranded but worth the picture :')

So, Every week I paint my nails a different design and colour, I don't have as many nail polish's as some people on youtube, neither do I have/use all OPI or Essie or China Glaze ;).
I actually think the majority of my nail polishes are Barry M, Models Own, Illamasqua (all apart from one recieved in the Mystery boxes) and Revlon.
This is what I did for New Year's and I used Barry M's Buzz Edition in Dark Pink and Covered it with Barry M's Pink Sapphire Glitter 352.

So, I had to stop taking photos of my delicious nails and things as my phone (that was my camera, as it was fantastic) stopped working and broke :( (wahhh D:) now I have a new phone :) But the camera on it is ATROCIOUS. So, I have just started to take pictures with my actual digital camera and have started again :). This is my Easter inspired nails! The Speckled (W7's Salt & Pepper) represents the egg and the yellow (Barry M's New Texture Nails in Station Road 304) represents the chick from it :).
